Receive nationally recognised trade training
Join the ADF and learn a trade. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need, be paid while you train and can earn industry-recognised qualifications.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

An Aircraft Fabricator (Aircraft Structural Fitter) is a skilled tradesperson who is responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, assembly, manufacture, rebuild, refurbishment and modification of Army aircraft metal and composite structures and aircraft structural components. The types of aircraft that Aircraft Fabricators can maintain throughout their career are the Sikorsky S-70A-9 Black Hawk, the Eurocopter EC665 Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH), the CH47 Chinook and the Multi Role Helicopter (MRH 90).

Maintain some of the world's most advanced military helicopters, manufacturing, installing and repairing components for the Black Hawk, Chinook, Tiger or Taipan.
