You will be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The role of the Royal Australian Army Pay Corps (RAAPC) is to provide financial advice to the Army. In fulfilling this role, the Accountant (Finance Officer / RAAPC Officer) is responsible for:
<ul>
 <li>The provision of advice to commanders in the area of financial management of Public Moneys</li>
 <li>The preparation of budgets, financial statements, cash flow analysis, accrual accounting, costings and financial analysis</li>
 <li>The development and implementation of financial management Systems</li>
 <li>Deploying as a Financial Adviser on Exercises and United Nations and other overseas military operations</li>
 <li>The training and development of personnel for employment in Field Cash Offices</li>
 <li>The provision of advice and assistance to units in the areas of Non Public Moneys accounting, including liaison and training</li>
 <li>The audit of Non Public Moneys Accounts and the conduct of fraud investigations</li>
 <li>The provision of advice and assistance to units and members in the areas of pay and allowances</li>
</ul>
An Accountant can expect to be employed as a Finance/Business Officer in a unit, as a Financial Advisor on a Brigade Headquarters, as a Compliance and Assurance Officer, as a Business Manager, as an Officer Commanding a Finance Unit, as a Staff Officer on a senior Headquarters or as a Training Officer at a Training Establishment.
An Accountant can expect to be required to provide financial technical advice to Army, ensure compliance to financial policy, supervise the collection of resource and financial management information for further analysis and reporting.
