Receive nationally recognised trade training
Join the ADF and use your existing trade skills in a unique military environment.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those with a nationally recognised trade seeking to undertake hands-on tasks.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

As a part-time Electrical Technician, you&rsquo;ll play an important role providing support to the wider Australian Army by working with other skilled technicians to keep Army electrical equipment in peak working order.
If you&rsquo;re looking to experience adventure and excitement outside the everyday, earn tax-free pay and work as part of a close-knit team, this is an exciting opportunity that can work around your lifestyle.

Working with other specialist technicians, you&rsquo;ll play an important role in your unit, diagnosing problems and faults, and maintaining and repairing Army equipment. You&rsquo;ll help maintain fleets of commercial and domestic refrigeration equipment, air conditioning equipment, low, medium and high-capacity field generation systems (including specialist generation systems), and various portable and non-portable electrical appliances.
When you meet with your unit, you can expect to refine your technical skills, plan upcoming exercises and keep up your soldier training. On training exercises, you&rsquo;ll play a valuable role supporting your team, by providing technical expertise in maintaining and repairing electrical equipment.
