CONVENTIONALLY ARMED, NUCLEAR POWERED

A common misconception of Australian nuclear-powered submarines is that they carry nuclear weapons. This is not the case.

In fact, the only nuclear element on-board is the nuclear power reactor which works to propel the submarine. This advanced technology allows for both increased stealth and range. With no need to surface to refuel, the submarine is harder to detect and can easily perform longer missions.

WORKING WITH NUCLEAR

A nuclear-powered submarine is one of the most advanced pieces of technology out there and comes with the strictest of safety protocols.

Within the submarine, you are exposed to less radiation than in the average office environment. The safety of our crew is paramount, and all systems are designed to ensure the continued wellbeing of our team.
Life on board

Life on Board

It might come as a surprise to some, but day-to-day life within a submarine isn't as unusual as you might imagine.

On board, you'll be treated to chef-prepared meals, you'll be able to exercise and stay fit alongside your friends within the submarine, and when possible, connect with your loved ones.

With your crewmates, you'll gain unique skills in some of the most advanced technology in the world.

Underwater might seem like a world away, but life within a submarine is engineered to feel as regular as possible.
