Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

In the Navy you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

General Entry: Non-technical

There are opportunities for a wide range of personal and professional development training and education, and leadership training continues throughout your career.

As a Medic Nuclear Submariner, you&rsquo;ll play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of your fellow submariners.

This unique environment requires the highest standards of safety and security, which you&rsquo;ll learn during your induction program developed to guide your time in the nuclear workforce. This will help you keep your crew, the public, and the environment safe and secure while you serve.

You will be responsible for administering advanced first aid, nursing care, emergency medical care, management of medical supplies and more onboard a nuclear-powered submarine.
You&rsquo;ll be exposed to both conventional and unconventional injuries and illnesses in a variety of situations, and your care for the sick and wounded will be vital in keeping your vessel operational.

Care for the welfare and medical needs of your fellow crewmates and provide quality healthcare onboard a nuclear powered conventionally armed submarine.
