Use your specialisation and become a leader in your field
If you&rsquo;re already qualified in healthcare, finance, law, chaplaincy, management, aviation, engineering or education, you can join the ADF part-time as a Specialist Reserve.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who are a specialist in specific fields.

This entry method is currently not recruiting.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

Your daily rate while training

Trained

Your daily rate once trained

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

As a part-time Obstetrician Gynaecologist, you’ll have the opportunity to use your existing qualifications and skills in an exciting new way. This part-time, flexible position offers time commitments that fit around your lifestyle and schedule, where you’ll gain unmatched rewards.

You’ll be responsible for providing medical care related to pregnancy or childbirth. You’ll also diagnose, treat and help prevent illnesses related to female health, particularly those affecting the reproductive system.

You’ll work primarily in deployed health facilities during military operations, rather than providing routine care to military patients in Australia. This could be in communities the ADF supports on operations, where your patients may be refugees or people in disaster-affected areas.

Provide medical care related to pregnancy or childbirth and help prevent illnesses affecting female health in this rewarding part-time role.
