<div class="p" >Applications are being accepted for a limited number of Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Media/Communications positions within the Royal Australian Air Force Specialist Reserve (RAAFSR). 
 
Entry into the RAAFSR as a Public Affairs Officer is competitive and applicants will be assessed on their employment experience, skills and qualifications in public affairs and other communication related disciplines. 
 
As an Air Force Public Affairs Officer, you will perform a wide range of public affairs duties in a military context, often within tri-service environments working alongside members of the Air Force, Army and Navy. Duties may include: 
 
	&bull; Public affairs support to military operations, exercises and activities within Australia and overseas 
	&bull; Preparing public affairs plans and strategies 
	&bull; Writing and editing public information products such as print and digital articles, social media content and media releases 
	&bull; Leading military camera teams to deliver timely public affairs products 
	&bull; Preparing senior officers and military personnel for media engagements 
	&bull; Media liaison and escorting 
	&bull; Public affairs advice and issues management 
	&bull; Community engagement 
 
 
Part-time employment opportunities may be sponsored by a range of stakeholders including your posted unit, Headquarters Air Command, Air Force Headquarters, and other Defence departments.</div>
Preference will be given to applicants who possess a broad range of relevant employment experience in the fields of public affairs, corporate communication, journalism and other communication-related disciplines. Tertiary qualifications in communication-related disciplines is essential.
