Use your degree and become a leader in your field
If you already have a degree, you can advance your current profession and apply your tertiary qualifications part time as a Graduate Reserve.

This entry method is currently not recruiting.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

As an Infectious Disease Physician in the Army Reserve, you’ll get to use your existing qualifications in exciting new ways, applying your specialist skills to dynamic military environments. You’ll work alongside other ADF health professionals to study the causes, effects and patterns of infectious diseases, including biological warfare threats.

You’ll work within the Australian Army Health Services, where you’ll gain exposure to modern and mobile operating environments, advanced technology and equipment. You’ll work in multidisciplinary teams in support of exercises and operations where you can challenge yourself in exciting new environments, without compromising your current career goals.

Due to the ever-changing global situation, you could be called on to provide specialist skills on land, in the air or in maritime/sea environments. Your work could also extend to responding to humanitarian situations and major international activities, giving you the chance to further your knowledge, and gain skills and experiences you can take back to your full-time role.

Use your professional clinical knowledge to study the causes, effects and patterns of infectious diseases, including biological warfare threats, in this rewarding part-time role.
