All Officers will serve in fleet units and shore establishments around Australia based on service need. Individual preferences for posting location will be taken into account where possible. Many opportunities also exist for short periods (4 - 6 months) of operational service overseas.

You will be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

As a Health Services Officer, you'll provide the administration, logistics, planning and business management services that clears the way for Navy doctors and other healthcare professionals to do their work effectively within the workplace.
Navy Reserves serve on a flexible part time basis in exercises and maritime operations. You'll be paid to train and learn all the skills you need to support Navy personnel ashore, at sea or overseas.
You will be responsible for coordinating and leading a team to ensure the smooth implementation and delivery of healthcare personnel administering effective care for patients. 
Your duties include, but aren't limited to:

 <li>Health personnel management and administrative support</li>
 <li>Health policies, governance, assurance and information management</li>
 <li>Health planning for current and future operations, exercises and activities</li>
 <li>Management of current and future health capabilities</li>
 <li>Management of healthcare delivery, medical equipment, contracts, pharmaceuticals and associated budgets</li>
